YouGov has ingeniously polled Remainers to find where they are along the five stages of grief. 32% are still in the first stage, denial, and think people “never really wanted to leave”. The rest are some way down the path of grief: 19% feel anger, 5% bargaining, 22% depression and only 20% acceptance. They’ve also broken it down by party with Tory Remainers the best at coming to terms with their grief and Labour Remainers the worst.
Today’s decision really isn’t going to help.
